Parr Lumber put the pedal to the metal for HBF

HBA Members put the pedal to the metal for charityOn July 15, more than 50 Home Builders Foundation supporters came together for the 1st annual Foundation 100 endurance race, which was held at Pat’s Acres Racing Complex in Canby. Presented by Parr Lumber, the endurance event lasted an hour and a half with 10 teams of drivers each trying to complete as many laps as possible.“We more than doubled last year’s attendance, and people seem to be excited about a new way to support the HBF,” said Parr’s Area Sales Manager, Brian Kegg.  “Our hope was to tap into a different support base than your traditional golf tournament or even our trap shoot event does. The goal is to host an annual summer event, and grow the Foundation 100 into a bigger and better event each year.”In the end, Parr proved that they were the team to beat completing 100 laps in the fastest time and holding the record for the fastest lap at 54.328 seconds, courtesy of driver Bruce Barnes. The “friendraiser” helped to introduce new vendors and trades to the mission of the HBF and raised more than $4,000. A huge thank you to all those who came out to support the HBF.
