11th Annual Trap Shoot crushes records

This year’s Trap Shoot presented by Parr Lumber, raised the bar to new heights. From a delicious hot breakfast courtesy of the Divine 9 to a drone capturing the event from high in the sky, to the largest Annie Oakley to date to a new record for number of teams, this year’s Trap Shoot hit all of the high marks. The event, which is the second-largest annual fundraiser for the Home Builders Foundation, raised $71,000 for the nonprofit - another new record! In team competition, the Riggs Construction team narrowly captured first place with a score of 218, just two points above Guild Mortgage’s inaugural team and five points above annual contender Lisac’s Guns of Fire. Fifty-eight teams competed at the event, making this year the largest so far.The James Hardie Annie Oakley Sharpshooter Competition featured over 150 shooters vying for title of Annie Oakley Champion. In a heart-pounding shootout lasting over 45 minutes, Nikki Siebel took the crown in both the ladies-only competition as well as the mixed round. This year’s raffle was dominated by big ticket items, including three grills, a $1,000 Cabela’s gift card, high-end Kershaw Knives, and a thousand dollars’ worth of merchandise from Cabela’s. The big winner this year was Mac Even, who went home with a Kershaw Tomahawk, a Napoleon Mirage Grill, AND a Weber Genesis Grill! Congratulations to all of our raffle prize winners, and thank you to our raffle donors: Parr Lumber, Cabela’s, DR Horton, Eastside Distilling, Exterior Wood, Fireside Distributors, James Hardie, Kershaw Knives, Leupold, Lisac’s Fireplaces & Stoves, and ProBuildThis event would not be possible without the support of shooters, sponsors, volunteers and committee members.
