Celebrating the 'Clubhouse' at Good Neighbor Center

In partnership with the Home Builders Foundation (HBF), Good Neighbor Center dedicated their recently completed expansion project for the Children’s Program. Good Neighbor Center has been providing emergency shelter and empowering services to homeless families since 2000.The “Clubhouse” expansion added much needed space for the After School program that provides homework help, tutoring and fun activities as well as a Summer School program which offers children the opportunity to grow, learn, and play together in a supportive, enriching environment. The renovation was completed by HBF Builder Captain Robert Wood of Mountainwood Homes LLC with the help of twenty vendors from the community. This HBF project was a great example of a partnership between non-profits, the home building community and government agencies. The City of Tigard helped expedite the process and waived fees to help this project get started. You can find more photos and videos on our Facebook page
