Volunteers 'Give a Day Away' to support local shelters

Fantastic volunteers from Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Northwest Real Estate gave up part of their Saturday to serve at local shelters as part of their Give a Day Away program. Volunteers raked, trimmed, planted, painted, and cleaned at Cordero House operated by Janus Youth, Linn House operated by Volunteers of America and Porch Light Shelter operated by Janus Youth. Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Northwest Real Estate gave Home Builders Foundation a grant of $2,500 to plan their volunteer day and purchase supplies for the day.This event is part of a larger event that sends out Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices teams across Oregon and Washington pitched in to Give a Day Away in support of 17 service projects in our communities. "From landscaping schools to holding food drives and painting shelters, it feels great to give back!" says a BHHS spokesperson.
