St. John's Village
Do Good Multnomah was founded on Veterans Day in 2015 with 13 beds in Downtown Portland. Today, Do Good operates 13 program sites in the Portland metro area. We work with Veterans and other marginalized folks who have no safe place to live and sleep. On any given night, hundreds of Veterans find themselves houseless on the streets of Portland. We offer over 500 beds available nightly, two Permanent Supportive housing communities, a Resource Center, a Mobile Supportive Services team, and collaborations with numerous community partners and donors. We are proud to do our part and make a serious positive impact on the unhoused community in Oregon.
In the past fiscal year, Do Good successfully housed more than 220 individuals, and our Permanent Supportive Housing programs have a 93% annual retention rate. Our approach focuses on creating trusting, communal relationships between participants and staff, which allows Do Good to journey with participants as they overcome their barriers to housing and find sustainable solutions that meet their goals.

Clackamas Veteran's Village
The highlight of accomplishing serious change for houseless Veterans is getting to do the work with community partners who care just as deeply as we do. We operate two tiny house villages – 19 homes that are Veteran-preference in St. Johns, and 24 Veteran-specific homes in Clackamas County. Home Building Foundation has been an enormous partner in dedicating funding to source tiny homes, create beautiful and inviting outdoor communal spaces for participants to enjoy, supplying essential household appliances like washers and dryers. HBF continues providing volunteer outreach in its network to support larger projects. At the end of the summer, we were fortunate HBF gathered volunteers from Lennar Portland and Pacific Landscape for an outdoor project that updated the landscape around the St. Johns Village, and built a pergola for year-round barbeques!
We are so grateful for the invaluable support from the Home Building Foundation. It is no small thing to tackle the challenge of solving houselessness; it is with their support that we have been able to literally open new doors to housing for our most vulnerable neighbors and build a strong and stable future for all those on their path towards permanent housing.
