 About Taylor Smith:

TaylorSmith was founded in 2017 with a mission of quality urban infill, sustainable and resilient homes, and maintaining the character and spirit of Portland. Our diverse background of past engineers, architects, cabinet makers, craftsmen, sustainable building professionals, and project managers make us uniquely equipped to tackle custom restorations and new construction.  We were all drawn to residential construction as we love doing work for our community.  We work closely with homeowners and providing quality, well-designed, sustainable and efficient housing is a reward unto itself.

 How did you get involved in the HBF?  What keeps you involved?

 We were originally acquainted with the HBF through the work done at the Kenton Women’s Village initial establishment.  Since then, we’ve done several projects at the Clackamas Veteran’s Village, Hillsboro Houseless Services office, and Kenton Women’s Village.  We stay involved with the HBF as they are so closely linked to those who require services most. They have excellent communication, which allows us to utilize our skills quickly and efficiently, ensuring those left in need are promptly supported.  As a B corporation, we pride ourselves in serving our community and give back to a city that has given us so much.

 What is a fun fact about your company that not everyone knows?

 We just purchased a commercial property in inner SE Portland, get ready for our new TaylorSmith Headquarters in 2025

 What are your favorite hobbies?

 Our team shares many hobbies including exploring the great PNW outdoors, sports like soccer/pickleball/volleyball, gardening, and playing with our fur babies and real human babies
