White Hot Gala Fashion

We are hoping for a “white out” at Tumwater Vineyard June 1st for the 2024 Building Hope Gala & Auction. Our intrepid Gala team encourages everyone to dress in your best white “summer chic” outfit as we raise money for Home Building Foundation.

This year’s Gala is inspired by “Le Diner en Blanc”, a party that originated more than 30 years ago in Paris. More than 10,000 people attend each year at prestigious sites such as the Eiffel Tower, The Champs-Elysees, and the Louvre. The party location is typically a secret and is revealed to attendees at the last minute, who come dressed in white for an elegant outdoor dinner. The trend has spread throughout the world, with even Portland hosting its own “Diner en Blanc” for several years.

What to wear to our event? Let’s start with "Summer Chic." Merriam -Webster, defines chic as “smart elegance and sophistication.” Daron Deonier-Clemons, CEO of "The Difference" clothing boutique and personal styling business in Lake Oswego and Vancouver prepared this fantastic Gala style guide just for the event.

For further inspiration about dressing for the evening's vibe, here are some amazing outfits from our 2023's Debry-themed Gala.

Without boarding a plane, the 2024 HBF Gala promises a fabulous evening that will rival those in Paris. Starting in the lovely Tumwater Vineyard tasting room, you’ll enjoy award-winning wines, or a signature cocktail. Then, you head over to a beautiful tent for a scrumptious dinner from Vibrant Table. You’ll be entertained by music, sparkling conversation, and a lively auction where you can support HBF’s terrific outreach programs. Our goal is that you’ll say “C’est Manifique!” at the end of the evening. For any questions about the Gala, contact Development Manager Kyle Ellerbe, Kylee@hbapdx.org

Thank You To Our 2024 Sponsors
