FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEKICK-OFF EVENT: HOME BUILDERS FOUNDATION DONATION HELPS DOUBLE PORTLAND RESCUE MISSION CAPACITY.(PORTLAND, OR – September 11, 2012) Wednesday, September 12 at 11:00 AM, Home Builders Foundation and Portland Rescue Mission will host a kick-off event for the Next Step renovation project. The expansion to Next Step, Portland Rescue Mission’s transitional housing for men in addiction recovery, will double its capacity.Members of the Home Builders Association, including general contractor Nathan D. Young, will donate an estimated minimum of $325,000 in labor, materials and expertise by project’s end. The Home Builders Foundation facilitates acquisition and allocation of these donations.“We are committed to giving back to our community,” says Ken Cowdery, Executive Director of Home Builders Foundation. “It is a privilege to help Portland Rescue Mission positively impact more lives of more men suffering with addictions.”The event includes a brief presentation to outline the expansion, an overview of future use of facility and recognition of contributions to the project.
