A Season of Sharing

Home Builders Foundation, with the help of Mountainwood Homes and other generous HBA members, were able to make a donation of much-needed toiletry items to Shelter at Orenco Station (SOS), a 90-day winter shelter for adults experiencing homelessness in Washington County. The shelter opened on December 1 at Sonrise Church in Hillsboro.The Shelter at Orenco Station serves homeless men, women and couples during the coldest months of the winter. The shelter provides a safe, warm place to stay in addition to warm meals. The shelter is made possible by the support of over 500 volunteers from 36 area churches and members of the community.Items most requested at the shelter are toothbrushes, toothpaste, shaving cream, razors, feminine products and deodorant.
