Foundation Hero: Pat Dolan, Globe Lighting

Globe Lighting recently got involved with two HBF projects, Clackamas Women's Services' Village of Hope project as well as the Dorothy Lemelson House & New Meadows Program, operated by Bridge Meadows and New Avenues for Youth. Globe Lighting drastically discounted lighting packages for both projects, saving tens of thousands of dollars for each shelter. Thank you Globe Lighting!Name: Pat DolanCompany & Title: Globe Lighting, OwnerTell Us About Yourself:Globe Lighting was opened by my father in 1978 following the success of his original business, A-Boy Plumbing & Electric Supply. My first job was unloading freight and hanging the fixtures in his store displays and I eventually moved on to customer service. Working one-on-one with customers brought marketplace voids to my attention and inspired me to design lighting to solve our shopper’s problems. Now, as a lighting supplier, manufacturer, and distributor, we are able to offer our customers the lighting they’ve been searching for at a great price. How did you get involved in HBF?An opportunity arose to support local builders and contribute to the Women’s Service project in Milwaukie and the New Meadows project in North Portland and it was a perfect match for our business and values.Favorite Hobby:I’m a huge sports fan. I love to cheer on our local teams, especially the Seattle Seahawks and the Portland Trailblazers.
