Foundation Hero: Debbie Miner

debbie_miner“Debbie and the generous folks at Viking Automatic Sprinkler are donating a full sprinkler system for HBF’s current project, Community of Hope, a shelter for women and children in St. Johns. We couldn’t do the work we do without amazing donations like this from the building industry.”Brenda Ketah, HBF Project Manager.Name: Debbie MinerCompany & Title: Viking Automatic Sprinkler, Co-ownerTell us about yourself (What you do, how you got started in the business, etc.):I started as a bookkeeper. I knew from the minute I walked in the doors in 1990 I would retire from here. I just never dreamed I would be an owner. How did you get involved in the HBF? What keeps you involved?viking-logo-greenOur accountant, Ryan Boatsman (HBF Board Treasurer) introduced us to this project. Viking has always been a company based on "doing what's right". We have been very blessed to be in business over 86 years. It's an easy decision to share our blessings with others. What is a fun fact about you that not everyone knows?I grew up in a family of musicians. I never played a sport, and had no exposure to the world of construction. What is your favorite hobby? That's a tough one! Watching the Seahawks, cooking, quilting, crafting, and going on adventures with my husband! Thanks again for being our “Hero”, we appreciate you!
